WATCH: Super Rugby prop sees red for aggressive shoulder-to-head challenge

Hurricanes prop Tyrel Lomax received a straight red card on Saturday for shoulder charge to the head of Blues full back Stephen Perofeta.

Lomax was part of a double tackle near the half way line when his shoulder made contact with the head of Perofeta, leaving the referee with no choice but to send him off shortly after half time.

 

The 23-year-old’s discipline cost the Hurricanes a result at Sky Stadium as they went from leading by a point to losing the game 15-24.

This defeat leaves them fourth in the New Zealand conference in Super Rugby while the Blues are just ahead in third. Full match highlights are available below:

    One thing I do know, with absolute certainty, is that he will not get any suspension  from this. As we all agree kiwis dont get suspended. Oh, wait.......
