70m wonder try scored by 18 year old Gervais Cordin

One of the best tries scored this weekend was done so by a player still young enough to be playing age group rugby. 18-year-old Grenoble fullback Gervais Cordin scored this scorcher in the French ProD2 league, stepping his way through the Stade Montois defenders with ease.

One to watch out for!

I was "tongue-in-cheekly" replying to DrG
    But... whatever
Grenoble club recently produced fine young wingers. Hope this young lad will work to win his top14 place

Not saying this guy isn't a good play, or won't be at some point, but this isn't a particually special try worthy of being a rugby dump post, becasue its the French D2 If it was the English Championship I'd say they same thing. If he does that in the Top 14/AP/Pro14 its worth a look.

Just because he is 18 doesn't make the try that special either. There are a lot of 18 year olds already playing top division rugby now, or current players who debuted at 18. This just shows he probably should be playing Pro14 pretty soon.

If you want to take my comment as an insult French rugby then its your problem. If it was an 18 year old English player scoring in the Championship, I'd say the same thing.
