All Match Highlights from the opening round of Rugby World Cup 2015

If you haven't yet had a chance to catch up on all the games from the opening round of the RWC, below you can take a look at highlights from each one of the 8 matches played between Friday and Sunday. There were a few upsets in there, and some wonderful tries.

If you missed all the actual results, we've kept this spoiler free too.

 

England vs Fiji

England hosted Fiji on Friday night for the opening game of the tournament at Twickenham.

 


Tonga vs Georgia

This Pool C clash was always going to be tight, and produced a fascinating contest.

 


Ireland vs Canada

Ireland were much favoured ahead of the tournament, then suffered two losses. This match was their chance to find some form again as they aim to top Pool D.

 


South Africa vs Japan

South Africa know a lot about Eddie Jones, and had to contend with a spirited Japanese side..

 

 

France vs Italy

A 6N match-up in Pool D, with Italy aiming to upset France, who always do well at RWC's

 

 

Samoa vs USA

A powerhouse clash from Pool B, as Samoa aim to be one of those top two sides in the group.

 


Wales vs Uruguay

Wales have suffered some injuries, so this was their chance to try out new combinations

 

 

New Zealand vs Argentina

Two of the Rugby Championship sides faced off at a record crowd at Wembley. Argentina impressed recently when beating the Springboks, so would have fancied their chances of challenging the All Blacks.

 

COMING UP:

On Wednesday Scotland face Japan, Australia play Fiji and France take on Romania, followed on Thursday by New Zealand vs Namibia. On Friday it's Argentina vs Georgia, and then on Saturday and Sunday there are a whole host of fixtures including Italy vs Canada, South Africa vs Samoa, England vs Wales, Australia vs Uruguay, Scotland vs USA and Ireland vs Romania.
