Super Rugby has begun releasing raw footage from some of its most iconic games after this year’s competition was postponed due to the COVID-19 virus.
The latest game to come under the spotlight is a semi-final from 2002 between the Crusaders and the Highlanders in Christchurch.
The star-studded Crusaders squad with names including Richie McCaw, Andrew Mehrtens, Aaron Mauger, Chris Jack and Justin Marshall came out 34-23 winners on the day and went on to win the entire competition.
The game had five tries and is recognised as one of the competition’s classic games.
