Arundell's try upsets Bath fans after forward pass accusations are dismissed

Henry Arundell touched down early in the second half of Racing 92's visit to Bath to extend the French side's precarious lead over the English Premiership side. The try, whilst simple in its conclusion, was not without controversy.

Seemingly a clear-cut try following a draw-and-pass routine that allowed the former England flyer to touch down in the corner, the referee initially appeared to have different thoughts.

Drawing the attention of the TMO to a potential forward pass in the build-up, Bath fans felt the temporary relief associated with the score being wiped off.

Many Bath fans believed that the initial pass from Cameron Woki from Maxime Baudonne should have been deemed forward by TMO Matteo Liperini, but after reviewing the footage the try was allowed to stand.

Using this as the catalyst to get back into the match, Bath then hit sixth gear with two quick tries in return, first from Alfie Barbeary and Joe Cokanasiga.

Score at time of writing this article: Bath 22-22 Racing 92.
