Bath sign former rugby league sensation on short term contract

Bath have signed former rugby league sensation Regan Grace on a short-term deal as he continues to recover from a long-term Achilles injury.

The former Wales international has been training with the west-country side after being released by Racing 92 last year. He moved over from English league-side St Helens to play union in Paris, but his time in the nation's capital ended much sooner than anticipated following a ruptured Achilles.

Despite not making a single appearance for Racing 92, Grace will be hoping to make his first union appearances for Bath in friendlies against Gloucester and Leinster in March.

Grace was born in the popular seaside town of Port Talbot and grew up playing rugby union at local side Aberavon Quins RFC. Despite being scouted by The Ospreys at the time, Grace decided to cross over into the 13-a-side game. Since making his first professional appearance back in 2017, Grace went on to score 88 tries in 141 appearances for the Saints.
