The French Top 14 season kicked off on the weekend with some big games and no doubt many fantastic tries to come. Today we look back at the Top Ten best tries from last season, 2011/2012, many of which were featured here on RD.

With such a large array of talent spread across the country, both French and foreign, the Top 14 always manages to impress, intrigue, and of course entertain.

Last season some unbelievable tries were scored, the best of which have been included in this compilation from Canal+. (Many of the best can also be viewed in the Related Posts down below)

You may have your favourites, but they seem to have got the seeding right for the most part, with the top three in particular some of the best tries you're likely to see.

We'll be posting more Top 14 highlights this season, including the usual best bits in between, so stick around and keep an eye out for updates on our social media channels.

Also please always remember that if you're watching a match live -Top 14 or any other - and you see something you think should be shared with rugby fans, make sure to take a note of the time and drop us an email to let us know. You can also tweet @Rugbydump.

No. 4 isn't all that. Reverse pass, little turn of pace, defender falls over, try. Nothing special there

Personally, I reckon #7 deserves to be higher.

Numbers 1 or 2 will be easily in the best tries of year 2012

On the number 1, the understanding between Nagusa and Trinh-Duc is unbelievable. They both knew exactly what they were going to do just by looking at each other, and the kick is magic.
