Big Ben Tameifuna carded for nearly decapitating Francois Trinh-Duc

Toulon's Francois Trinh-Duc should expect some lingering soreness after a 22-13 loss to Racing 92 and a jarring tackle courtesy of prop Ben Tameifuna. The tackle was deemed high and late by the referee, while Trinh-Duc lay prone on the deck for several moments.

It's one thing to expect a hit while taking the ball into contact but this late shot by the monster Tongan international, who is one of the largest players on the planet, was brutal.

Thankfully, Trinh-Duc was able to collect himself after a few moments before shaking hands and continuing the match. That he could get up at all is a testament to his toughness.

In the end, Toulon couldn't overcome Racing's three tries, including a magnificent Teddy Thomas score.

Hmmm ok. Didn't really think it was late. Didn't really think it was high either. Impact is at chest height, but then he catches him at the head with his arm while wrapping. Maybe that is a high tackle then. Anyway very close to just being a great thumping tackle.
