Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson added to his ever-growing title-winning CV last weekend with a fifth Super Rugby triumph for the Christchurch-based franchise. And the man nicknamed "Razor" celebrated as he always does... with a breakdance!
Razor's strike rate in his coaching career is quite sensational: after winning the 2015 U20 Championship with New Zealand, he then went on to lead the Crusaders to the Super Rugby title three years in succession between 2017 and 2019.
And when Super Rugby Aotearoa made its debut last year in the wake of the COVID-19 disruption, the Crusaders won the inaugural title before backing it up this season.
That makes it five straight titles for the 46-year-old former number eight with the Crusaders, leading many to tip the flamboyant, yet reserved coach for the All Blacks job in the near future.
Razor's breakdancing has become something of a tradition after title wins, with the first appearance coming after the U20 Championship victory six years ago. Since then, we've come to expect similar moves on the pitch.
Crusaders' former assistant coach - and current La Rochelle head coach - Ronan O'Gara waxed lyrical over Robertson's coaching prowess and accredited much of his coaching knowledge and talent to the softly-spoken Kiwi.
O'Gara once labelled Robertson as "a bit of a mad genius" with a keen eye for entertaining, fast-paced rugby which has not only proved enjoyable, but highly effective.
And if Robertson does eventually bag the All Blacks top job, imagine the scenes if New Zealand add another Rugby World Cup title in the years to come.
