Brilliant Zebo flick sets up excellent Racing 92 try in Paris derby

Racing 92 fell to another disappointing home Top 14 defeat to Stade Français last weekend, despite a brilliant try for Teddy Thomas, set up by Munster-bound Simon Zebo.

The Parisian side will certainly miss the sort of flair Zebo and Thomas - who is expected to depart at season's end as well - have produced over the past three years and it was on full display as Racing ended up chasing the game against their city rivals at the La Défense Arena.

Zebo, playing at his customary full back, came into the line after a Finn Russell pass out back and then produced a lovely reverse pass to the oncoming Thomas.

From then on, it was all about Thomas's gas down the line and the winger sprinted in from the halfway line to bring Racing back into the match.

To their credit, Stade were excellent all match and deservedly came out on top following something of a renaissance in the second half of the regular season. After Thomas's try, scrum-half Teddy Iribaren also touched down but Stade responded to open up a lead which eventually became insurmountable.

Thomas scored a second in the dying minutes but it was not enough to steal the win, and Racing slipped to a 35-29 loss.
