Cardiff Blues great comeback to beat Llanelli Scarlets

Cardiff Blues produced a battling performance to come from behind to beat Llanelli Scarlets 35-25 in the Magners League on the weekend.

The win moved the Blues into second place in the league after a seesaw eight-try thriller which kept the 10,216 Arms Park crowd warm on a chilly night.

The Blues, shrugging of last week's Heineken Cup disappointment, showed early willingness to give the ball some air, but were hit by a two-try blitz before the first five minutes had elapsed.

They came back well though, and despite a stunning try by Scarlets fullback Morgan Stoddard, stayed in the game with some great play and some accurate passing.

When Blues' all-action flanker Maama Molitika stole a Scarlets line-out and Blair crossed on the opposite touchline, the Blues also claimed a bonus point.

A Nicky Robinson drop-goal completed the scoring, rounding off a fine performance in his first start since December, and robbing the visitors of a losing bonus point they had probably deserved.
