Connacht's HUGE defence against Leinster in PRO12 final

Connacht were superb on their way to their first ever PRO12 title triumph at the weekend, and a major part of their win came from a great defence, and some thumping hits.

Leading the charge in this area was Kiwi centre Bundee Aki, whose massive tackle on Jonathan Sexton was perhaps the highlight of an intelligent rush defence, which effectively cut off any Leinster chances.

While Connacht have been lauded for their cutting-edge attack all season, their defence has been equally as good. They scored the most tries in the campaign but also conceded the least and this compilation of big hits is definitely proof.

Among the smashing tackles is Ultan Dillane's barging run over the top of Dave Kearney.

With the Ireland internationalist picked for their fast approaching grueling tour of South Africa , there can be no doubts that the second-row is up for the physical challenge of the Boks.

Such a shame that the likes of O'Halloran and Healy weren't automatically thrown onto the plane. I appreciate that experience is needed for SA but these guys are the future for Irish rugby. Schmidt should bring them in for the Autumn!
