Crazy comeback for record breaking Irish

This weekend's worth of Gallagher premiership rugby has come to an explosive end in the Irish vs Wasps London derby.

Irish found themselves 14-39 down in the 61st minute after a Zach Kibirige touchdown appeared to take the visitors well out of reach.

With just under a quarter of the match left to play, Irish were looking flat and lacking ideas. They were desperately in need of an injection of pace, enter Henry Arundell. On the field for just twenty minutes, the full back was named Player of the Match by BT Sport pundit Ugo Monye.

The Irish squad had a visible lift with his introduction, going on to cross the white line four times in the last fifteen minutes of the game! The last of which being a penalty try and a yellow card for Joe Launchbury after being found guilty of pulling down the rolling maul.

The scores ended 42-42 which takes Irish to a record FIVE draws in one year! This means they've overtaken previous record holders Newcastle Falcons, who achieved four back in their 2009 campaign.

This comeback has dented Wasp's playoff hopes massively. A bonus point win today would have seen them draw level on points with Exeter Chiefs in sixth place. Instead, the Coventry based side now find themselves below rivals Irish and out of the top eight.

With only one or two more games of the Premiership left for all sides, it's going to be an exciting finish!
