Crusaders employee new age motivational techniques ahead of the Super Rugby final

Super Rugby’s most successful Franchise the Crusaders are once again on the precipice of securing a Super Title.

Should they defeat the Chiefs on Saturday it will be their 7th consecutive victory (excluding the covid affected condensed season which the Blues won).

Spearheaded by All Blacks coach in waiting Scott ‘Razor’ Robertson, the Crusaders are arguably the greatest club set-up in the world.

Key to their success has been Razor’s unrivalled ability to keep his side motivated and crucially able to peak at the right time.

Employing a ‘theming’ technique whereby they give every season a narrative to follow. For example, La Rochelle head coach Ronan O’Gara who is a disciple of Razor has recently spoken about how his team compared the Champions Cup to Everest.

From here they built a plan on how they would scale their Everest which have they subsequently done for two seasons in a row.

Clearly coming up with new themes takes its toll but now it would appear the Crusaders have employed a new way to motivate their players.

Led by players Sevu Reece and George Bowers, the Crusaders look like they’ve got every base covered! Enjoy!
