Andy Goode, fondly known by many as the greatest player ever to play rugby, has come out of retirement, for one evening.
The Rugby Pod host and former England fly-half Andy Goode laced up his boots last week in a charity match to raise money for the Care of Police Survivors.
Andy Goode has a cult following in the sport due to his laid back attitude to playing the game even in the professional era, he was reported to skip pre-season, and he LOVED a pint or two after a game. This has made him a sweetheart for many rugby fans in Europe and around the world.

Here is what the fundraiser is all about. This was in relation to the charity match which took place last week between two police forces teams.
"Harps was tragically killed on duty in August 2019.
We are holding a charity rugby match to raise funds for Care Of Police Survivors who he supported to help other families who have been through the toughest of times. This is a rugby match between TVP and SCO19. The event itself is on 20th November at Maidenhead rugby club. If you can’t get along but wish to support them please donate here.

Andy Goode announced he would be playing in this charity match last week and it raised a lot of positive attention...
Andy Goode played the full 80 minutes of the match, which is impressive for someone who has been out of the game for two years.
He actually played very well in this match in attack.
The defending, however, left a lot to be desired...
