Danny Cipriani weighs in on 'diving in rugby' debate

Danny Cipriani has taken to social media to express a new take on the current conversation around diving in the game of Rugby Union.

The debate surrounding players diving was re-ignited this weekend when spectators accused Owen Farrell of 'diving' when he went down holding his face after a collision with Luke Northmore, during Saracens' victory over Harlequins at the Tottenham Stadium.

Farrell was undoubtedly hit by Northmore but the point of contact and then the reaction is what has got people talking.

A lot of fans online have been quick to accuse Farrell and have been very critical of diving in rugby.

However, former Premiership fly-half Danny Cipriani has taken a different approach to the debate.

He suggested that in other sports it is more accepted as part of the game and fans and the media should just enjoy the games rather than constantly nitpicking players.

Do you think that rugby is guilty of being on a moral "high horse"?
