In a brilliant end to end encounter between Northampton Saints and Harlequins, Danny Care ended the game with a yellow card after ignoring instructions from the referee.
Care's sixth yellow of the season means that the Harlequins scrum half now has the most ever in a singular season. Beating the previous record of five held by Garath Archer.
Unlike some of his previous yellow cards, this was easily avoidable. Care was initially cautioned by referee Matthew Carley for talking back, before the number nine proceeded to run away from Carley which increased the sanction to a yellow card.
Carley was heard warning Care that he was close to upgrading it to a red, to which point the scrum half quickly jogged of the field.
The ending of the game should not detract from what was a fabulous battle between two team who love to throw the ball about. Northampton started the better and were quickly 7-0 up. The teams then traded tries, with one Harlequins score an absolute stunner after brilliant work from Joe Marchant.
It was Harlequins who dominated the early exchanges of the second half but ill discipline would give Saints a route back into the game, and a chance to win it with 3 minutes remaining. A chance which James Grayson took, making the final score 32-31. A thoroughly brilliant game
