The game everyone has been talking about from the weekend was the Edinburgh vs Racing Metro thriller at Murrayfield, where the home team made a massive comeback to win 48-47. The match wasn't televised, but we've found some highlights for you.

One of the downsides of so many matches on one weekend is that the host broadcaster in the UK, Sky Sports, is not able to cover everything. What they usually do is send along one camera, just for the purposes of highlights shows. In this case, we missed out on a classic.

Flying Dutchman Tim Visser, who qualifies to be selected for Scotland come June 12th next year, scored two tries on a crazy night of rugby. His first came within 35 seconds of kick off, and his last, on 76 minutes, proved to be decisive. It followed a sensational comeback from Edinburgh who were down by twenty points late in the second half.

Captain Greig Laidlaw converted Visser's late try, winning the game for the home side in a match that included an incredible 11 tries. Visiting flyhalf Juan Martin Hernandez had an opportunity to snatch it with a drop goal though, but he struck it badly.

"It was simply an incredible game - I have to keep convincing myself it was for real and not just a daft dream. Everyone was shellshocked in the changing room," said Laidlaw.

"What a treat to be involved in a game like that. You might say a draw would've been a fair result, maybe 50 each. We'll take 48-47," said head coach Michael Bradley.

"People talk about Scottish rugby and talk about the pro clubs needing to perform - you won't get a better game this year than that game of rugby you just saw today. Racing were stunning in attack. It was just so hard to defend them," he added.

Just 5067 fans were on hand to witness the game, and those who did will be talking about it for years to come. Hopefully the result will bring in more fans for their next home game.

These highlights are from Racing Metro themselves and because the game wasn't televised, there is no commentary and only the one camera angle. It's certainly better than nothing though. If we manage to organise anything else, we'll replace this video with something of better quality. Enjoy.

Damn disgrace that Sky Sport didn't cover that game by the way.

Incredibly to think the IRB can't decide on a max in goal area, isn't it?

Yes, agreed - that was one heck of a donkey kick at the end.

    Awesome. What a cracking game.

Hate to pick out a negative point, but that was one hell of miss on the drop-goal attempt at the end!

Yea it looked to be one of those sort of games, I would love to see the whole thing. Games where the balance changes constantly and you can't see who will win until the very end are what make rugby such a great game. Cheers for the post RD.

I believe that it is important to clarify that this match was not a thriller because of the 11 tries scored but because of the comebacks, script reversals and the overall suspense. The 11 tries were just icing on the cake. Some games, like the RWC final, have only one or two tries in them and are absolute thrillers too.

    Totally agree.
But usually a foreign tv only gets what the local tv sends, that's a matter of exclusivity. That's why french tv never moves to UK to record a game and british tv never moves to France neither, and that's why we have no french record neither.
Surprisingly the video here seems to be from Racing-Metro website.
That's a pity such a game has not been fully recorded. In France Canal+ or France2 record every possible national or european game.

It seems weird that nobody is there to cover a heineken cup game, especially since racing metro would be considered a serious contender. Not a soul from the french side? Is there no scotish regional network?

Pitty to miss out on this game

Great tries from both sides. The in-goals are ridiculously deep, it makes the wingers want to kick the ball.
