Elton Jantjies boots the ball directly into his captain's face!

South Africa's 30-23 win over Argentina on Saturday was error-riddled throughout, so when flyhalf Elton Jantjies failed to clear the ball from a dangerous defensive position in the second half, it didn't come as a huge surprise to fans. Adriaan Strauss on the other hand, had a front row seat.

The Springbok hooker took the full brunt of the kick straight in the face, and miraculously stayed standing. In fact, he barely flinched, despite Jantjies booting it with quite some force.

One of the most comical aspects of this falcon is that Jantjies barely apologised, looking more like he was annoyed with his skipper for getting his big melon in the way!

In 2008 Queensland rugby league player Michael Crocker was actually knocked out cold by a kick to the head. View that and many other classic falcons in the Related Posts below this.

Pollard is still injured and Patrick Lambie is still suffering from that headknock vs Ireland, and Morne Steyn is Morne Steyn, but DrG surely you've heard of Elton Jantjies.. Lions (Super Rugby finalists) flyhalf. Bok debut in 2012, etc. The guy has been around for a while :)

Who is Elton Jantjies? Where does he rank in the set up of bok 10's?

Was this simply blooding new players or is he the new bok go to man? or are they injury plagued?

As for Strauss... can we really call him tough? Or has he just had a few too many head knocks to really notice whats going on...
