England rugby player shares his mammoth sized meal routine

England Rugby have shared Freddie Steward's daily meal plan on their Instagram account, and it makes for some pretty mouth-watering viewing.

It's common knowledge that professional rugby players are generally in better shape than the rest of us. Their diets consisting of copious amounts of protein and carbohydrates are designed to help build muscle mass, to be more physically competitive during matches.

Players in different positions require alternative meal programmes, however. As an example, Joe Marler's job requires huge amounts of pushing and making dominant tackles, which means his weight and strength need to reflect the requirements.

Contrastingly, players like Danny Care prioritise attributes such as explosive speed over sheer brute strength. Consequently, Care's training routine in the gym and dietary intake differ significantly from that of Joe Marler, aligning with the unique demands of his playing style.

Standing at 6 foot 5 inch, England fullback Freddie Steward maintains a strong, yet slim figure, perfect for his position. Due to his height, the young fullback still needs to maintain a solid amount of food throughout the day to maintain his physical athletisism.

Piling in multiple meals in one day and hitting over 4000 calories, there's no doubt that Freddie Steward is as committed to eating as he is training.

One fan jokingly commented: "I see the England camp has hobbit chefs: 1st breakfast, 2nd breakfast (the snack), 1st lunch, 2nd lunch..."
