Elliot Daly handed Saracens a gift of a try during Saturday’s Premiership match which saw the reigning champions continue their unbeaten start to the season.

In the 70th minute of the game, the England and Wasps utility back threw a long no-look pass on his own five metre line to Willie Le Roux, but Saracens forward Nick Isiekwe intercepted the ball to score their second try.

However it wasn’t all bad for Daly, the 26-year-old kicked a penalty goal from 54 metres in the first half, with distance to spare.

Saracens went on to win the match 29-6 at Allianz Park, leaving them top of the Premiership after nine rounds.

Playing different positions every week won’t do great things for a players confidence. He was one of England’s best players a year ago. Now he’s in danger of becoming a bench utility player. Waste of talent if that’s the case

as bad as that pass was, two things; 1. If Daly had stepped again of his right foot he could have beaten Lozowski on the outside 2. What was Le Roux doing? He runs back in the 5 meter channel and then moves all the way to the 15m channel putting himself 10m away from Daly. So at the point Daly has to make a 10m pass, there are 4 Saracens players closer to him than Le Roux is. Although its a bad pass, if I was Dai Young, I'd be more annoyed with Le Roux than Daly.
