South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus discussed the wealth of England Rugby following his side’s win over Wales in the semi-finals on Sunday.

Erasmus and captain Siya Kolisi took part in a post-match press conference following their 16-19 win over Wales where they looked ahead to next weekend’s final against England.

The pair discussed their win over the Welsh as well as the player pool and finances which benefit England in comparison to what the Springboks have faced over recent years surrounding selection and funding.

“We don’t have the money that England have,” said Erasmus. “If you look at player number England have the most and then France and I think South Africa are third or fourth. In terms of resources for qualified coaches, player development and pathways England are definitely right up there.

"The Premiership has rich owners too which allows layers to come through and keep them in a professional mindset so we’ve got a different set of problems in South Africa.”

It's not a mystery the English fed has the most ressources in term of budget, partnership and development... But you've got salute they followed the path of Nz, Ireland and Wales to prioritize the national team above clubs or provinces.
