Ex-internationals discuss unfortunate forearm incident which left Tonga international motionless

Several former international stars have waded in to debate an incident which occurred during Friday night’s Pro14 game between Scarlets and Cardiff Blues.

Cardiff prop Dmitri Arhip carried the ball into contact in the second half and knock out Scarlets number eight Sione Kalamafoni.

Arhip’s forearm appeared to cause the damage and ex-England fly half Andy Goode took to Twitter to question the legality of Arhip’s carrying technique.

Ben Foden, Neil Back and Tom Shanklin responded by defending the Cardiff prop saying it should be play on while Goode believes there needs to be further clarity on what’s legal.
