Exeter number eight shown yellow against Glasgow

Exeter Chiefs number Greg Fisilau is one of the most exciting names in English Rugby in 2024.

As England head coach Steve Borthwick begins a new era in English Rugby with several long-serving top performers either retired or nearing the end of their playing days, the influx of young English talent presents a promising future.

Fisilau, the son of former Tongan international Kenni, looks like a real option as a hard-carrying number eight option for the base of the English scrum.

Defensively, the 20-year-old has been a strong performer in the Premiership and Investec Champions Cup.

Currently in the midst of a tight battle with the Glasgow Warriors, Fisilau was on the wrong side of referee Pierre Brousset for a tackle on Glasgow Warriors flyhalf Duncan Weir.

Adjudging that Weir had dipped and that Fisilau had bent at the hips, the referee mitigated the offence down from a potential red card to a yellow.

Glasgow currently leads 10 - 0 with just over two minutes to play in the first half.
