Exeter winger pulls off O'Driscoll-style volley in early try of the season contender

Exeter winger Tom O’Flaherty scored unquestionably one of the tries of the Premiership season on Saturday against Bath at Sandy Park.

Fly half Joe Simmonds spotted space out wide and produced a lovely weighted crossfield kick to O’Flaherty on the left wing half an hour into the game.

O’Flaherty then showed incredible improvisation to kick the ball on the volley while running at full pace down the wing.

The ball was weighted perfectly into the in-goal area and O’Flaherty demonstrated his lightning pace to reach the ball first and complete a scintillating try.

Exeter went on to win the game 40-3 making it two wins from two in the opening stages of the Premiership season.

O’Flaherty, 26, signed for Exeter from the Ospreys 2017 and is now regarded as one of the league’s most prolific finishes.
