Fans defend Tuilagi after video shows apparent punch being thrown

Posolo Tuilagi has been the focus of much of the French media attention after forcing his way into the national side for the 2024 Six Nations. The son of former Samoan heavyweight international, Henry Tuilagi, stands at almost 2 metres tall and weighs in at over 150kg, making him a genuine force to be reckoned with.

His sizable frame matches the name that comes with it, with the 19-year-old already the proud subject of many 'Here comes the boom' compilation videos online.

The downside to being as ginormous as he is famous, is that it is proving incredibly difficult to hide on a fully televised rugby field - even with 29 other players and a referee on the field. This has caused the newest Tuilagi to come under some fire after he was supposedly spotted throwing his huge right fist into the mix during their match against Scotland.

There have been many debates already circulating online arguing for and against the punching suggestion, with the large majority suggesting that he was simply clearing out, whilst others joked that it wouldn't be the first time a Tuilagi has thrown a punch.

The apparent 'infringement' was not spotted during the match, and no current news on any citing or complaint has been made following the act.

The Tuilagi's are without doubt an incredible rugby family with their sheer strength and size proving to be devastating for opposition players. Certainly not players to get on the wrong side, who could forget Chris Ashton's mistake when going after Manu Tuilagi, or Alesana Tuilagi's wild hit on Mark Cueto?
