Former All Black Tony Brown is set to be unveiled as the next Springbok attack coach per reports in Afrikaans publication Rapport and later by Stuff.co.nz.
The report suggests that Brown could be unveiled as the Bok attack coach this coming week.
Capped 18 times by the All Blacks, Brown is familiar with South African Rugby, having spent a season as a player with both the Sharks in 2006 and the Stormers in 2008.
Since hanging up his boots in 2011, Brown has coached all over the world, starting in Japan with the Sanyo Wild Knights before returning to New Zealand to coach both Otago and the Highlanders.
Firmly establishing himself as one of the top attack coaches in the game, Brown joined up with his former Highlanders colleague Jamie Joseph with the Japanese national team.
Under the duo's tutelage, Japan topped its pool at the 2019 Rugby World Cup before falling short against eventual champions South Africa in the quarterfinals.
Should Brown not be unveiled as the next Springbok attack coach, a recent report in the Irish media has linked him with a move to Leinster, where he was previously a target for the then-vacant head coach role.
