Former Ireland international Kieran Marmion makes insane try saving tackle

Former Connacht and Ireland scrumhalf Kieran Marmion is no stranger to making a game changing impact.

Whether it be on the club stage or in the test arena, the 31-year-old has had some titanic moments.

Featuring heavily this weekend during Bristol's impressive defeat of Sale at the AJ Bell Stadium, Marmion once again proved to be the difference for his side.

Clinging onto a seven-point lead, the Bears were exploited out wide by the Sharks, who worked fullback Joe Carpenter into space down the right-hand touchline.

Steaming away, it appeared as though the fullback would bring his team back into the contest as he dove over next to the corner flag.

Yet, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, Marmion fizzed across to make a last-ditch tackle.

Getting just enough on Carpenter to push him into touch the halfback ensured that his team would head into the halftime break in front.

Now unavailable for selection to the Irish national team following his departure from Connacht, Marmion will play a key role for Bristol, but many Irish fans will be wondering if he should still be in the green shirt.
