Friday Funnies - Flanker gets away with sneaky slap at scrum

You may remember that a few years back we posted a clip that featured Southland prop Chris King sneakily slapping his opposite number in an ITM Cup match against Waikato.

On that occasion King was spotted by the ref and penalised, but in a club game recently, and at a slightly lower level, young flanker Michael Fletcher decided he'd try something similar.

As you can see here, he got away with it, as both the referee and the slapped player did nothing about his cheeky, muddy swat, much to the amusement of the supporters on the sideline.

I'm with Ottawa Rugger on this one, I am all for cheeky nudges, and even just irritating an opposite flanker, but that clout was hard. My downfall I'm sure, but I think that would have sparked something nasty in me if I was on the receiving end of that...

I know this might sound crazy to you, but it's not professional!

Undoubtedly English. The accents gives it away (as well as the loutish behaviour ;) ).

I hope that's the case. A cheap shot like that wouldn't be alright in most games, but I would find it funny if I were playing in a game like that
