Friday Funnies - Sky Sports Presenter Alex Payne fluffs his live intro

Proving that even the best in the business get it wrong sometimes, here's a look at Sky Sports anchor Alex Payne's cringeworthy opening to the live Aviva Premiership game between Wasps and Bath at Adams Park a few week's back.

Viewers tuning in early got more than they had bargained for as Payne got himself in a bit of a tangle, and what was only a few seconds seemed like minutes as he tried to get out of it.

To his credit, when he finally came right, he handled it well, brushing it off like the pro he is as co-presenters Ieuan Evans, Dean Ryan, and Will Greenwood all had a bit of a giggle about it.

Alex later took to Twitter, where went searching for help:

He was a great sport about it despite the (mostly) light hearted abuse he received, saying afterwards, "I have had my moments, but I think that goes in as my all time No.1 brain fart!"

A fan favourite among TV hosts, Payne later added: "I like to think my sensational face plant will help others to feel better about themselves.. it's a novel approach, for sure."

I think there is a difference between "posh" and "well spoken"... of course this is a well spoken chap, who is not speaking well... but you get the gist.
