Georgia Stun Wales To Makes History In Cardiff

Eastern European giants Georgia have picked up perhaps the biggest scalp in their rugby history as they stunned Wayne Pivac’s Wales in Cardiff for a famous 13 – 12 win.

Having opened their Autumn Nations Series with a thumping at the hands of New Zealand, Wales rebounded to beat Argentina last week.

This loss will however be considered the worst of the Pivac era and piles on further pressure to a coaching ticket that game into the game under the pump.

For the Georgian’s wins like this do their campaign to be included in the Six Nations a world of good.

Always possessing a powerful pack, the Georgians now have plenty of players in the backline who have joined their forward compatriots in the top European leagues.

This victory in particular showed their never say die attitude as they went into the halftime break trailing 12 – 3 before not conceding a single point in the second half whilst scoring 10 of their own.

An incredible result that once again highlights the gap between the world’s top teams is closing.
