Heart-warming drop goal competition between Foster and Reece goes viral

It's been a tough few months for Ian Foster and the All Blacks. The three-time world cup winners have come under a lot of scrutiny recently following some rather up and down performances. So to see them having a bit of fun in training and taking the weight off is like a breath of fresh air.

It's been a good few years since Foster stepped on the pitch himself. Retiring from Super Rugby in 1998, Foster had a great career with both Waikato and the Chiefs. A former first five-eight (fly-half), Foster is no stranger to putting boot to ball.

Challenging current New Zealand flyer Sevu Reece to a drop goal competition, Foster rolled back the years in a fascinating challenge.

Starting with the good old-fashioned 'rock, paper, scissors', Foster was the first to take the mark. After shaking off some rustiness from his first kick, he knocked kick after kick through the uprights.

Reece, with the pressure on called 'next goal wins' for which Foster dutifully obliged.

Fans loved the footage;

'Bigisgoodlos' commented, "Just put him in the team already dammit 😂"

'Will2kay' said what we were all thinking, "Man just wants to play 😂"
