London Irish second row Adam Coleman showed great commitment to set up a try against Gloucester on Saturday having been injured in the process.
Inside the first minute of the match the former Wallaby charged down a box kick from Gloucester scrum half Willi Heinz and chased after the loose ball as it bounced towards the try line.
However after just a few strides Coleman appeared to injure his ankle, reducing him to a limp as he galloped after the ball.
The 29-year-old showed impressive dedication to keep going and managed to dive on the ball and secure possession for Irish, allowing Blair Cowan to recycle and dive over to score the opening try of the match.
Sadly this was Coleman’s only influence on the game as his injury was bad enough to force him from the field, but the early try helped Irish to a 32-26 bonus point win at Brentford Community Stadium.
Coleman, who stands at 6ft 8”, has earned 34 caps for Australia since making his debut in 2016.
