Highlanders and Elliot Dixon score superb team try against the Jaguares

With one week remaining in the 2016 Super Rugby regular season, positions for the playoffs are getting very tight, and after an impressive weekend, one could argue that the New Zealand conference has made a strong case for being the best of the bunch.

Outscoring their competition by a combined score of 237-71 over the weekend, they went 5 for 5 in their matches, most of which were not even close. The Highlanders won this one 34-8.

With such a surplus of tries, it's hard to pick the best, but there was a stunning try scored in the Highlanders/Jaguares match that stuck out in particular.

In the 31st minute of the match, Malakai Fekitoa got things started for the score that would eventually pass through the hands of no less than four All Blacks.

Going right to left from close to mid-field after turnover ball, Aaron Smith was first receiver.

Two zip passes later and the Highlanders were in business, as the Jaguares were left scrambling and some pretty massive holes began to open up for both Tom Franklin and Ash Dixon.

Lima Sopoaga showed typical soft hands and skill to get the ball to Elliot Dixon. It was then Dixon to James Lentjes and Lentjes back to Dixon to complete the breath-taking score.
