HIGHLIGHTS: Crusaders back three the difference in tight encounter with the Chiefs

Reigning Super Rugby champions the Crusaders came out on top against the Chiefs 18-13 in heavy rain in Christchurch on Sunday.

After a penalty to either side in the opening 10 minutes it was the Crusaders who struck the first blow through full back Will Jordan, who was wonderfully set up by All Blacks winger Sevu Reece.

The first half ended 10-3 but just five minutes after the break the same pair combined to score the second try of the game, this time through to the quick thinking of Reece with a cheeky lineout.

A late score from Chiefs winger Sean Wainui and another penalty from Damian McKenzie set up a nail-biting finish but the hosts held on to secure their second win of Super Rugby Aotearoa.
