Being the premiere international junior rugby tournament, since it's inception in 2008 more than 570 players have graduated to achieve full Test status.
Champions New Zealand begin their title defence against Japan, with the 2017 runners-up England taking on Argentina in the opening the fixture in Narbonne.
Scotland and Italy provide the curtain raiser in Béziers before Australia meet Wales, while in Perpignan, South African open their campaign against Georgia ahead of Ireland taking on the hosts France.
