The old "I am just popping to the shops" trick is an old classic utilised by couples the world over.
Whether it is an opportunity to sneak in some downtime or a way of getting out of chores, we have all used it.
Unfortunately, like all good excuses, the popping out to the shop's reasoning looks to have its day in a world of phone tracking devices.
Never has this been more pertinent than for one unlucky rugby fan, Mr Stuart Atkinson, who simply wanted to watch some great Championship Rugby this festive period.
It would appear he had used the popping-to-shop excuse with his Nicola. Unfortunately for Stuart, he fell foul to the Apple tracking system "Find My iPhone".
In a hilarious announcement, Stuart received the call over the tannoy announcement that Nicole knew he was not at the Kingston John Lewis as he said but was rather at the rugby!
