Incredible team try showcases thrills of the grassroots game

The pre-season period marks a time to retrieve those boots that have inevitably languished in the kit bag since the last game of the previous season and return to the field alongside teammates.

With the new season just around the corner, pre-season matches provide the perfect opportunity to refine the moves that have been diligently practiced during training. Without the pressure to secure victory, players often find themselves free to experiment and exhibit a remarkable level of fluidity on the field.

A brilliant display of creative teamwork was recently captured by David Hateley at Veseyans Rugby Football Club. The events that unfolded showed a towering outside-centre, Ed Lea, astounding onlookers by slicing through the opposition's defence following a skillful maneuver that held spectators in awe.

The initial breakthrough by Veseyans occurred through a brilliantly executed dummy by their fly-half, who then swiftly passed the ball to the supporting inside centre. It was at this point that the magic unfolded. Seizing the opportunity within the broken play, the number 12 offloaded the ball to his charging centre partner.

The outside-centre caught the ball perfectly on his right foot, before flicking it up and catching it as he strolled round the final two defenders with apparent ease.
