There was a bizarre moment during a match in Brazil last weekend, where a referee was handed an iPhone that was found on the field. We shared the link on our Facebook and Twitter accounts earlier today, but decided to archive it for safekeeping too.
The commentators apparently joked that there were missed calls from one of the player's mothers, concerned for her son's safety. The bemused referee wasn't too fussed though, simply tossing it to the touchjudge, saying 'An iPhone for you, Bruno.'
A while back we saw Nigel Owens call the TMO on a phone, but this is a first.
