Ireland edged Italy 16-9 in a Six Nations style contest at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday, guaranteeing Ireland's quarterfinal qualification. It sets up a finale against France to decide who will top Pool D, and therefore avoid facing world champions New Zealand.

Jonny Sexton kicked 11 points while Keith Earls scored a first half try. Italy's Tommaso Allan kicked 3 penalties, but despite coming close on occasion, they couldn't cross the whitewash.

Ireland will play France in Cardiff next Sunday to decide who will top the group.

It's a ruling by World Rugby (IRB) unfortunately, applying strictly to the World Cup footage that they release. It is blocked in the US, and France in some/all cases.
