The Aviva Premiership has produced some excellent tries this season, so here is a look at the six that have been nominated for the ITV Sport Try of the Season. The winner will be announced and an awards ceremoney in London on 15 May.

The list features tries from six different players, with both forwards and backs scoring. They are also a nice mix of individual efforts and great team tries.

"Looking at them, any of the top six would be a worthy winner," said Phil Winstanley, Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby. "Stunning one man finishes and tries that travelled through a dozen pair of hands stand side by side on this so I know how hard it was to decide on the winner."

The shortlist is: Christian Wade vs Gloucester Rugby, Nick Abendanon vs Exeter Chiefs, Kelly Brown vs Northampton Saints, Jamie Elliott vs Gloucester Rugby, Logo Mulipola vs Exeter Chiefs, Dean Mumm vs Worcester Warriors

The shortlist was compiled by a panel of media professionals and Premiership Rugby panelists.

The winners will be announced on Thursday 15 May at the Aviva Premiership Rugby Awards, where other awards such as Player of the Season and Top Try scorer will also be handed out.

Which try do you think is the best, or was there one they left out?

Christian Wade is disqualified for football(soccer)-style try celebration. Dumbass.

I think the five people that commented about it above noticed it.

Biased, but the footwork for Wade's try is absolutely sublime. In terms of team try, Sarries' interplay and patience was brilliant for Brown's score.

Elliot's try was called right at the start of the campaign and it was brilliant. Similarly, Mumm's try used half the team and a good run in from the second row, brilliant try. Elliot's is arguably the best because of all of the deft little touches and offloads that continue the move - sublime

However, I have a softspot for seeing someone crushed when failing to tackle a big man on a strong run and Mulipola's switch from Goneva followed by a pretty compelling sprint 30+ metres to the line is exactly the thing I like to see and if I were a judge I might possibly have been swayed with that one.

Yep, not the first time it's happened!

It's an Exeter inside-joke. It happens after they score usually, and someone gives the try scorer a few pats as some sort of "happy ending".

Was just about to post something on that, a few slaps on Mumm's arse and an old wank for good measure. What is he like?

Mumm for me, coming from a Sarries fan who wanted Brown to win !

Elliot or Mumm. Those tries were Super Rugby-esque! Although as as Saints fan I'll have to vote Elliot
