Reigning Top 14 champions Racing 92 bounced back from their heavy defeat to Clermont Auvergne last week by beating Toulon 41-30 in Paris at the weekend, with Argentinian winger Juan Imhoff impressing with a hat-trick of tries.

Toulon's third defeat in five games is just the latest in a series of disappointments at the start of the new season, and with Coach Diego Dominguez's future at the club in doubt, things don't look too good for the Varois side.

While the final winning margin was a mere nine points, Racing 92 dominated the match and Imhoff was invariably at the centre of it. The Pumas winger scored a superb individual opening try, using excellent feet and pace before being given run-ins for the remaining two.

As you will see in the highlights below, Imhoff's prowess in the close quarters of the blindside is to be admired. Able to evade the on-rushing Toulon defenders - albeit flanker Aidon Davis - Imhoff was untouchable on his way to the line.

Catch all three of Imhoff's tries in the video below, including a lovely Dan Carter offload.

It is a shame but that rule is all but silly.. To progress the team needs to play together or at least (as cubelli) on the same calendar and with complete availability for Rugby Champioship.

It's an enormous shame that the Argentine Rugby Union's silly new eligibility rules prevent him from continuing to play for the Pumas, :-(.
