Jurgen Visser penalised for preventing Brumbies from taking quick lineout

This cheeky incident from Super Rugby a few months back probably should have been shared at the time but it slipped through the cracks somehow. We wanted to make sure it's in our archives though, as it's not only pretty funny, but also a bit naughty.

Bulls back Jurgen Visser, sitting on the bench, saw an opportunity to prevent the Brumbies from taking a quick throw-in after a typically large Morne Steyn clearance kick, so he did exactly that.

Jumping up ahead of Brumbies fullback Jesse Mogg, Visser got his hand to the ball, meaning that legally Mogg couldn't fling it in field to start a counter attack.

Unfortunately for him it was rather obvious to the referee, so his team was penalised, leaving a defiant looking Visser feeling quite sheepish.

Should have been red carded off of the bench.......remove such gamesmanship from the sport, blatant and cynical
