A new video featuring Carlin Isles has been launched ahead of the HSBC Sevens World Series. The fastest man in rugby is shown with stats revealing that he competes favourably against stars of the NBA, NFL and even against Olympic great, Usain Bolt.

Isles, who recently had a trial in the NFL, goes up against stars from the biggest sports in the USA in this video, being measured against the best from track, field and court with amazing results.

Having lit up the HSBC Sevens World Series circuit on numerous occasions, Isles is widely recognised as the fastest man in world rugby. Still new to the sport, he made the move from Sevens to fifteens rugby union with the Glasgow Warriors, but his debut didn't go to plan.

In the reduced code though, with more space to work with, he can be unstoppable and as this video shows, defenders should be forgiven for not being able to catch the flyer.

The Sevens World Series starts with Australia's Gold Coast Sevens, where Isles will be among a host of stars hoping to shine throughout the series. With Sevens at the Olympic Games in 2016, the spotlight is truly on the sport right now, and come the end of the series, the teams finishing in the top four overall will automatically qualify and book their place in Rio.

This video reveals some quite eye-opening stats about Isles' power and speed, especially when compared to the likes of superstars Kobe Bryant and the fastest man on the planet, Usain Bolt.

Well to be fair he did only start playing rugby in 2012, it's pretty tall order to go from a complete novice in 7s to professional 15-aside player in two years.

Don't mean to be a dick but it's kind of a shame he's playing for the US, he won't get to reach his full potential. Wonder if he'll develop to the point where he can get into a club in Europe or the SH.

Relax, I'm clearly talking shit here.

Conversely, imagine you're the really skinny kid who is incredibly intimidated by those larger boys in your grade school... and then you see monsters like Rob Thorne and Bakkies Botha... What does that do for your rugby hopes and aspirations?
Your argument is completely flawed and ridiculous. Carlin Isles isn't the future of rugby, he will probably be forgotten in 5 years, so please don't tell me he's bad for the game. Should we have not allowed Jonah Lomu or for that matter Julian Savea?

Seriously, imagine you're a chubby kid (not big enough to be a prop, but just enough to slow you down), and you see a guy like Isles skinning even the really quick blokes out there week in and week out. What does that do for your rugby hopes and aspirations? How does that grow the game among the slightly sluggish but genuinely keen kids?

Totally agree with Storms... Morne Steyn should be banned because he kicks too well...

Guys like Isles are just too fast for rugby. Spoils the game as a fair contest.

This is good. Anything which gets more people interested in the game and helps it develop in places like the United States is a good thing.
