Kenya have produced a stunning effort to upset Fiji in the Singapore Sevens Cup Final to win their first ever World Sevens Series tournament. The 30-7 victory came about from four unanswered tries in the first half, including two by talisman Collins Injera.

Kenya have finished as runners up twice before, but the historic win was secured with another two tries in the second half, as Fiji - who put in a huge effort to beat South Africa 26-21 in the semi final - only managed to score a consolation try through Jerry Tuwai.

Congratulations to Kenya after a monumental performance. More from the Singapore Sevens soon

Brilliant for Kenya, they've been a good team for a few years, and thoroughly deserve this.

Sevens is going to be huge at the Olympics. And the Olympics is going to be huge for Sevens (already has, with the 15-a-side stars playing Sevens this year).

All in all, the Sevens Series been a fantastic project by World Rugby to develop the game around the world. The fact there will be a good 7 or 8 teams in with a shot at Olympic gold is testimony to how well they've done.

Hard to see this as anything other than marvellous for the game. Always love to watch Fiji and would love to see them walk away with Olympic gold in the summer, but love to see Kenya pull this off. Well deserved.

What a performance by Kenya. And what a great tournament in Singapore. Got to love what sevens has done to world rugby. 20 years ago rugby had a relatively tiny global footprint. Now it's everywhere.
