King of the Bronco Barrett beats brother to clock another ridiculous time

Beauden Barrett has come up trumps at an All Blacks training session in Papakura after another impressive time was caught on camera, as the team prepare for their Steinlager Series.

Barrett beat his personal best for the Bronco just over a year ago when training with the Blues, showing that it's not just his famed acceleration off the mark that is impressive.

The infamous Bronco fitness test requires players to run 20, 40 and 60m and back, five times over - a total distance of 1.2km - as fast as possible. It's considered one of the best indicators of aerobic endurance.

New Zealand legend Richie McCaw reportedly has a personal best of 4 minutes 56 seconds, which is hugely impressive for a forward.

Barrett clocked in 4.18 this week, closely followed by his brother, Jordie, who got 4.24 and Damian McKenzie, who was close to him for a lot of the way but ended up on 4.28.

So beat an entire All Blacks squad, no mean feat, but for the Blues last year he actually recorded a mind-blowing 4.12. Not bad.

The All Blacks face Tonga in Auckland on July 3rd.
