Kurtley Beale at the heart of stunning Barbarian-esque tries from Racing 92

Kurtley Beale is quickly becoming one of Racing 92's most valuable assets in the Top 14, as the Australian veteran produced another scintillating performance against Lyon over the weekend.

The Parisian side is known for their running rugby and attacking spirit, which is part of the reason Beale was recruited to the franchise alongside the likes of Virimi Vakatawa, Finn Russell and Teddy Thomas.

Indeed, Beale was involved in two of Racing's tries in their latest victory over Lyon at the La Défence Aréna, for Gaël Fickou and Ibrahim Diallo as the home side saw out a 24-20 win.

The two tries were, in fact, very similar in their nature, with Beale whipping out a long flat pass to winger Juan Imhoff in the build-up to the opener.

Imhoff then fed Fickou on the support line inside, with the centre then slewing past the final line of Lyonnais defence to cruise under the sticks.

The second effort was of the same ilk, with Beale again passing to Imhoff, who then returned the favour as Beale maintained his supporting line.

Beale then fed the on-rushing Diallo who proceeded to touch down.

The second try came immediately from the restart following Camille Chat's score - Racing's second of the match following Fickou third-minute effort. At that point, it looked like Racing were going to cruise to a comfortable victory with three tries inside 13 minutes, but Lyon fought back in the second half.

Chat was sin-binned and Racing lost their discipline, which allowed Lyon to close to within a try near the end.
