Louis Picamoles huge carry bumps off attempted tackle of Jackson Wray

While Toulouse were on the wrong end of the 32-7 loss to Saracens at Allianz Park on Saturday, powerhouse number eight Louis Picamoles is one player who did make his impact felt.

Near the end of the game he took a quick tap penalty and as replacement Jackson Wray attempted to tackle him, he made this huge trademark bump-off. As we've seen many times, Picamoles is one of the strongest ball carriers in the game, so you simply cannot go too high on the man.

At the Rugby World Cup the French number eight showed glimpses of that famed power and explosiveness with some impressive performances, as can be seen in this edit of his best bits.

Totally agree about the compilation. All the more impressive considering France did not have a very good campaign at the WC....

He's just an incredibly powerful player, but good hands as well.
Check out this 2012 tribute for instance:

And I love him all the more for being from the Paris suburbs just like me :-)

The sad thing though is that in recent years it almost felt like he's France's Parisse....World class player in a mediocre team. Let's hope things change with Noves!! And you can be sure he'll be in the French squad even though he'll play in England. wink wink nudge nudge

    The sad

Yeah, but young Maro had him rather neatly wrapped up didn't he.

That world cup compilation is fantastic though. Everything you want from a number 8, delivered over and again.
