Microphones Capture Epic Content In Major League Rugby

Player mics are not a new concept by any means but despite capturing engaging footage for the fans they are a relative rarity.

Despite being a relatively new product, Major League Rugby has shown some great innovation over the past few seasons.

The league has a great ability to connect with its fans and has continually put out exciting content that reflects just how exciting the action on the pitch has been.

Taking things, a step further, The New England Free Jacks recently mic’d up their flyhalf Beaudein Waaka and the Kiwi didn’t disappoint.

Playing against fierce rivals Rugby New York, Waaka put on a seminar on just how important communication in the flyhalf berth is.

Bossing his forwards around, organising his backline and getting in the ear of the match officials, it is clear to see why New England has been one of the top sides in the league this season.

Having seen the footage which player would you most like to see mic’d up and why? Let us know in the comments section below!
