New Zealand Thump Wales In Cardiff To Silence Critics

New Zealand got their European portion of the Autumn Nations Series to the perfect start to a 55 – 23 win over Wales.

Rushing out to a 17 – 0 lead, the All Blacks looked to be in cruise control before Wales began to fight back with the half-time score being 22 – 13.

Key to the All-Blacks victory was a superhuman performance from Ardie Savea who continued his fine run of form.

Other noticeable performances were had by Beauden and Jordie Barrett who both played brilliantly outside the ever creative yet controlled Richie Mo’unga.

Wales were simply outclassed and overmatched as they continued their struggles from last season’s Six Nations.

Strangely the hosts were completely blown off the park physically as they just couldn’t live with the All Blacks intensity at the rucks and tackle point.

Picking out a positive, debutant winger Rio Dyer showed a real spark to finish off a brilliant try in the first half whilst captain Justin Tipuric was in fine form.

Next up for Wales is Argentina whilst the All Blacks travel to Edinburgh to take on Scotland at BT Murrayfield.
